It is our pleasure to spotlight to Rita Alderson who made a donation to Project Recover in honor of her uncle, Captain Charles F. Pratte, Jr..

 

Captain Pratte was best known during World War II for successfully landing a B-24 -- after its braking system had been shot out. His ingenious braking solution: parachutes.

 

Rita shared more about Captain Pratte's honorable service as well as photos from the historic landing.
