As you can imagine,
they are jammed with fascinating stories of their adventures.
On the morning of March 28th, 2014, the BentProp team was in Palau along with Project Recover. They were dividing into dive teams and receiving their assignments.
Currently, BentProp has the generous support of The Friedkin Group and other sponsors. Plus we recently trained with Shark Marine on the latest high tech digital sonar and
navigation devices to help us in our search for MIAs.
Back then, however, BentProp had a lot of passion and commitment, but not much in the way of money and even less in the way of high tech gadgetry.
So when it came down to getting assignments on that March day -- the day the Hellcat was found -- the BentProp team drew the short
straw.
They got to dive in the area where nothing was expected and high tech tools couldn't be used.
They had themselves and visibility of 2-4 feet.
