First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to all of our 2025 donors for your amazing support throughout the year. Your generosity has been vital to our success, and we are deeply grateful for your belief in the Project Recover mission. We’re excited for what’s to come in 2026 and are committed to bringing even more missing heroes back to their families. Thank you for being a crucial part of our journey!

Reflecting on 2025 

2025 was another record-breaking year for Project Recover. Not only did we achieve our highest fundraising total ever, but we also completed 15 mission sets worldwide. Most importantly, 2025 brought 8 official positive MIA identifications. Eight families who finally received the closure and recognition their loved ones deserve.

Our teams worked in Palau, Vietnam, Chuuk, Germany, Italy, and the Marshall Islands, applying 21st century science and technology to locate and recover those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

2026 - Continuing To Move Forward 

The work continues. At this moment, our team is on the ground in Palau, investigating multiple MIA sites and field-testing advanced land-based technologies that will enhance our recovery capabilities.

In the coming year, we plan to conduct at least 15 missions, including our Texas B-52 search and our first MIA mission in Malaysia. We're also expanding our Skyward Bound Education Program to inspire the next generation of scientists and researchers.

Welcome Home, Staff Sgt. Nicholas J. Governale!

We are honored to share that the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), in partnership with Project Recover and other experts in the field, has announced that they have positively identified the remains of Staff Sgt. Nicholas J. Governale who had been Missing In Action since World War II. Governale, of Brooklyn, NY, will be returning home 82 years after his B-25 crashed into the sea off the coast of Guadalcanal. He will be laid to rest in Brooklyn later in 2026.
