Dear
, As families across our nation prepare to honor those who gave their lives in service to the nation,
Project Recover continues the work to bring our missing heroes home. In the past six months, Project Recover has played a key role in the identification and repatriation of seven American service members—with more identifications to come.
Memorial Day Homecomings We are honored to attend TWO homecoming memorials over Memorial Day weekend. SSgt Eugene Darrigan will be honored in Wappinger Falls, NY on Saturday, May 24th, and 2nd Lt.
Thomas V. Kelly will be honored in Livermore, CA on Memorial Day, May 26th. Both former MIAs were part of the Heaven Can Wait B-24 crew that was shot down over Papua New Guinea during WWII. A Project Recover team located the plane in 2017. “These are not just names etched in stone. These are individuals who sacrificed for our nation and whose families have waited decades for answers,” says Derek Abbey, Project Recover CEO. “Memorial Day is not only a time to remember their sacrifice, but also to renew our commitment to bringing them home.”
