Dear
, Spring has sprung! As we prepare for our next mission in Germany, we have some great updates for you from
our Palau mission, a very generous gift in support of our Texas B-52 mission, and a fun, summer wine event supporting us, below. Thank you so much for your continued interest in and support of the Project Recover mission!
Palau Mission Update A small Project Recover team traveled to Palau in May to survey a Corsair crash site associated with an MIA for a possible recovery mission. The team also tested new
environmental DNA technologies in the jungle that can help advance our land-search capabilities and assist in locating unmarked MIA grave sites of interest. Read more here!
Carlsbad Food and Wine Festival On Saturday, July 26th, Project Recover will be a beneficiary of the Carlsbad Food and Wine Festival! There are several ways to support either in-person or from afar. Please reply to this email if you have any interest in supporting! - First, tickets go on sale May 1st if you could attend in-person.
- Second, we need sponsors! Packages
range from $750 - $10,000.
- Lastly, there will be an online silent auction - We could use auction items and will also share the information for online bidding for any items that would benefit Project Recover!
Our B-52 Mission and Education Program Receive Major Support!
We are grateful to announce that we have received an anonymous donation of $200,000 to support our Texas B-52 (Meal 88) mission and $50,000 to support our Skyward Bound Education Program. We have now raised $320,000 of our $500,000 goal to fund the Texas B-52 mission, and we are in a strong position to execute this mission once we secure a vessel. This gift will have an incredible impact on the families of these eight men and so many others. |
With Gratitude, Michelle Abbey Director of Community & Donor Relations Project Recover |
