Our June mission to Chuuk resulted in a successful recovery. Our Chuukese hosts worked just as hard as we did in the excavation. Joining our team was a group of students from the University of
Delaware.

Two teams will be heading to Palau
in August for both a land search mission and an underwater recovery mission. We look forward to reporting our progress as those missions unfold. Watch us on Expedition Unknown July 31st Mark your calendar or set your recorder for the Wednesday, July 31st episode of Expedition Unknown. A Project Recover case will once again be highlighted. It will be a great opportunity to witness our work up close through the passionate, interesting, and entertaining narration of Josh Gates. "America's MIA Heroines" will air at
9:00pm EST on The Discovery Channel (Max subscribers will be able to stream it as well).

(Armorer Gunner) P-38 ‘Lightning’ Fighter Pilots: 2LT Arthur Lee ‘Artie’ Kayser and 2LT John Arlington Leighton, Jr On 30 Dec 1942, 14 crew members aboard 4 US Army Air Forces aircraft were enroute to bomb Japanese-held Kiska Island, Aleutian Islands, Territory of Alaska. A B-25 Mitchell, piloted by my paternal uncle, was hit by anti-aircraft fire, caught fire and ditched in the frigid Pacific Ocean. ‘The 14’ were declared MIA / KIA.The 14’ fought and died to ensure we enjoy the freedoms we have today. Like ‘The 14.’ our past, present
