Kelly's words are true today more than 78 years later. They are worth repeating every day and especially on Thanksgiving.
Less than a month after he wrote this letter, enemy forces shot down the B-24 Heaven Can Wait. Lt. Kelly and his crew mates were declared Missing in Action. With assistance from the Kelly family, Project Recover located Heaven Can Wait
in 2017. At this writing, the Heaven Can Wait crew remain MIA. Returning them to their families is a hope that has not yet been realized.
From the bottom of our heart, thank you for helping us bring our MIAs home. We couldn't do it without you.
